I have tried DVDfab, dvd decrypter, dvd43, dvdshrink...I keep getting an error on the dvdfab. Is there a different title I need to try or a different program??

None of my Disney DVDs will work. I am just trying to back them up and be able to play them on my PSP when I convert them over to mp4.

Are you using the paid version of dvdfab? That's probably about the only way you are going to get dvdfab to work is to register it. The free version is about 60 days behind the latest protections. The registered version should handle it.

You could try the trial of anydvd. It will work for 20 days for free. Then you have to purchase it as well.

The days of the free rippers being able to do the latest movies is over. You are going to have to pay if you want to rip the latest movies. Or just wait about 2 to 3 months for the free version of dvdfab to support it.

Disney and Sony use ARCCOS on new releases and ARCCOS constantly gets changed. If you want to rip as soon as the discs come out, then you need to get paid versions of either DVDFab or AnyDVD.

ok sounds good. I am using the latest version of dvdfab, but not paid.

I will purchase it if it is that great and if you guys can tell me that it can do most (not all) movies I come across, otherwise I dont wanna waste my money.

There is a trial on it? 60 days? So it doesnt limit how many or how long, or say " demo" across the front of the movie??

    Thanks!!

I guess neither have broken the encryption on that movie yet. Looks like you'll have to wait at any rate.

Something 2 years old should backup no problems with the latest dvdfab. Are you doing full disc rip or main movie only. If you are doing full disc try doing a main movie only backup.

If that don't work then I'm out of ideas. Hopefully someone else may have more ideas.

Sounds like either a drive problem or a scratched disk to me. I've had DVD's that wouldn't read on one DVD drive but would read on another.

i actually do have another drive, I forgot about my external I had for my netbook...

I will try that one. One DVD is pretty scratched, the other is not so much. My daughter gets a hold of em and acts likes they are toys.. Lol

but I was reading some other places about choosing a certain title and copying that one. I am only doing main movie, and have been using shrink for years, but never works for disney!

I turned off the pathfinder and chose title 27(1) and still didnt work. Should I turn pathfinder back on??

hmmm. no scratches really on the disk, plays well too... I used it and it stopped in the middle of doing it. Try again or does that signify its is a disk issue?
