windows media encoder vbr mode

Hey,
im trying to setup a h264 stream now i want to do this with windows media encoder. At the compression options i have to choose 'quality VBR' mode. When i do this media encoder crashes, if i reisntall the program the error still remains.
'an unexpected error occured with the video codec 0xc00db0bc5'.
Can anyone reccomend me a codec pack that acutally works with this program cause i think its the codec. i installed several packs including klitecodec pack directshow or something.
Please advise

Uninstall all codec packs and try only ffdshow.
