Maybe someone can help me. I've just tried a region hack for my Toshiba SD-280EKB and it obviously wasn't the right one because I've only got sound now and no video at all - not even the screen saver. Is there a way to reset the player to factory settings?

  2. Go to Toshiba's website and download the latest firmware, there's a chance it might work.

It could be the correct hack, but occasionally, some players will also apparently reset your display settings in addition to the region change. (Such as changing from NTSC to PAL mode, etc.)

You could try unplugging the player from the wall power outlet/power strip, and leave it unplugged for half an hour or more. No guarantees that will work, but that sometimes works as a factory reset for some players. Does the manual for the player mention any ways to effectively factory-reset it?
