I demuxed an M2TS file with tsMuxeR and the video file produced was a .264 file. Exact file name: "00006.264"
I can't find any program that will play it let alone convert it. Any helpful ideas?

why demux it?
put it into a container like mkv or mp4 or just leave it in transport stream , because most video players cannot play raw avc streams -
I'm trying to convert the M2TS file into a format I can edit in Final Cut Pro. Unfortunately, I think the DTS-HD audio is messing things up when trying to convert it. So I want to separate the files and take care of them individually.
VLC doesn't work.
@poisondeathray: How can I put it into a container? Any program suggestion? Either Mac or PC is fine.
