I want to replace a DVD language track with another. So I demuxed the main movie (pgcdemux), replaced the audio with the new one, muxed everything back with muxman and put the main movie back to the DVD structure using the function īreplace' in VobBlanker.

Problem is, the subtitles are now with weird colors.

Tried to use VobBlanker setting "Copy PGC Subs Pallette from replacng IFO". No success, same weird colors.

Tried to use IfoEdit funcion "Copy Colors from PGC" from original DVD to the new reauthored DVD. Same thing.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. The problem is that Muxman uses 2 (or 3) specific squares in the CLUT (top row, left side), while the source DVD might use any 2 (or 3) of the 16 squares in the CLUT.

There are 2 easy ways to change the colors, DVDSubEdit and PGCEdit. DVDSubEdit has a guide:

I prefer PGCEdit as I think it's easier and it's definitely faster. Take note of the colors you see. Open the DVD in PGCEdit and double-click on the movie. In the new screen you'll see the CLUT (Color LookUp Table). The 2 colors in question should be in the top row. Change them to whatever you like, save it and test it out before burning to disc. Here's an example where I made 3 colors (yours probably has 2), black outline, dark grey antialiasing, and grey main color:

    manono, it worked perfectly!

Although instead of picking my own colors I used "copy all" and "paste all" from original to new DVD. Is that ok? At least it seems so.

    Thanks a lot!

  4. If you tested out the results and they're what you want, then you did it right, eh? Good going!

This method is very cool, once I got clear which color goes to what. But the save seems more positive than DVDSubEdit. Even trial and error is fast.
