Hiya!
I have a couple of PAL movies that I'd like to backup. I will do PAL slowdown using AssumeFPS(24000,1001).
Question is, should I place Yadif() deinterlacing before or after AssumeFPS, or is it completely irrelevant?
Ty in adv~
Regards~

Doesn't matter where in the script the slowdown occurs. Are you sure they need deinterlacing? You said they're movies. Movies by definition are progressive. Do you see actual combing when going over the frames? If so, maybe they're NTSC2PAL field-blended conversions, in which case they're already running at NTSC speed (i.e., no PAL speedup). Do you have a sample?
