.ISO zip file

In the ongoing trials and errors of my ripping my dvd's to my computer then converting them to play from an external hd on my xbox,,, I have run into another "situation" that I hope someone will help with.
Using dvd decrypter to rip some dvd-r's and dvdrw's , the dvd-r's have video_ts and the dvdrw's have a vro.
I'm using staxrip to convert and it works well enough on the dvd-r's (handbrake which i usually use is giving audio sync problems ) but anyway......... when using staxrip on the dvdrw's it says I have to use the ISO read mode.no problem. but the output is a zipped iso i guess. whatever it is winzip wont open it.....thoughts??

An ISO file is just a container like a zip file, unless the iso file is corrupt you can try extracting it using isobuster. I would be nice to know to what you are converting to so other could help with that as well.

Some archive tools can read the content of an ISO file, and may associate themselves with the .iso file type. Winrar can do this, for example.

Do you have any third party archive tools installed ?

Seagate FreeAgent can play ISO files directly, just like an AVI file.
