I'm certain that this is all possible and that the info I need is on the forum somewhere. My apologies as I haven't been able to search it out. Can someone please point me to what I need in the following scenario:
I'm a fan of the BBC series Doctor Who, from which a great number of 1960's episodes are missing, leaving incomplete or completely missing stories. A fan group uses original photos and audio recordings from the episode shootings and broadcasts to reconstruct representations of these episodes, complete with documentary features. The BBC has released a boxset of the surviving episodes.
What I want is to be able to combine the original episodes from the commercial boxset (including subtitle and commentary options), with the material from the fan DVDs, to have a complete story with all the extras.
In addition (and this is the bit I most need help finding out about), I want to create menus that look just like those on the commercial DVDs.
Can someone please point me to the relevant threads and software for these tasks? Thanks!

Use Pgcdemux to strip out video from the original dvd and reauthor using good authoring tools like DVD-lab pro. Or use DVDRemake Pro to reauthor directly in the original DVD.

Okay, I think that all makes sense. And from what I see, that will allow me to take the menus apart and alter or add new pages, text, etc. and redirect them as necessary?
Are there any good tutorials for the sort of things I want to do that you can recommend?
