  1. Hey guys and gals...

    I never posted before but I am having problems viewing .avi formats. I can hear what is going on but i cannot see the video. I think something is missing like a codec or something like that. I just want to know where i can download a missing codec or fix the problem... BASICALLY I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT I AM DOING WRONG, or what i am not doing. I have the new version 7 of windows mediaplayer... i used to be able to view it by altering a readme file or something like that... I DON'T KNOW!!!

  2. Try downloading a DivX codec. I'd stay away from the angelpotion codec and maybe try Divx alpha 3.11 (I think that's what it's called.) It's also possible that you might need an SMR patch depending on where you got the movie. If these don't work, you just may have a corrupted file.

    and whrere do i get this DivX codec???

  4. Check the links list on the left. They have links to a few more sites that have codecs or under tools look under codecs.
