when i rip and encode a region 1 dvd (using smartripper,dvd2avi and TMPGenc)
when i play it back on standalone dvd player i get very slight pauses every so many frames, but this dosen't happen when the dvd source is region 2?
i'm using pal vcd format in TMPGenc is this the reason why? something to do with fps as pal is 25 fps and ntsc is 29fps.
so if i want to make a pal complient vcd from a region 1 dvd do i use different template from region 2 disk?
any help appreciated.
my standalone dvd only plays region 2 disks so would i be able to use the ntsc template and be able to play on dvd player?
