So, I've just got myself Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 and I have a few questions.

    1. Is there any free tutorials that are good on the net? I've searched a little bit on youtube, but haven't found anything good. (It's quite boring to read the manual)

    2. How do I import the clips from my HF 200 to Vegas Pro? Is it just to copy the .mts-files from my SDHC-card into some "New project" -directory and start editing? Or is there any other more convenient way?

    3. Is there any shortcut key for locking and unlocking a track, its kinda annoying to right-click --> Switch --> Lock.. all the time.

    Thanks!

    1. Try http://www.blue7media.com/vegas/ , Youtube and http://www.vasst.com/

    2. In Vegas Help, enter AVCHD and follow the instructions.

    3. Probably. Again use Vegas Help for key shortcuts + lock audio.

You can find many suitable tutorials on YouTube. Their quality varies a lot. I recommend the Vegas Tutorials from " sosolid2k ". Do not be put off by the subject of the shots. They are simple to understand and cover everything you need to get going enough to so that you can go on to explore and experiment.
If you want to record material from YouTube use " kickyoutube " it is free. You can get good definition with it. Practise recording until you are confident. If the source quality is adequate the text will be clear enough read easily.I have used it for the excellent Vegas Tutotials from ' sosolid2k '
You will find other material on the web -- try a search on something like " Sony Vegas Tutorial" .
    best wishes ... mike

    1. Thanks for the links, I couldn't find any free tutorials though.

    2. The AVCHD Vegas Help was great, found exactly what I needed.

    3. Didn't manage to find the shortcut there, oh well.

    Thx!

Obviously I've already tried searching the net, hence me starting this thread and asking the question.

Neither did I manage to find anything useful on: http://www.youtube.com/sosolid2k , maybe I'm doing something wrong here, but that kid has 3 videos uploaded which are dedicated to some game called "Runescape".

    Thx!

In Blue7 try to find the Sony Tutorial Workshops done at NAB. Maybe they took them down. In the past I found other free stuff there.

Spend a few $ on the Douglas Spotted Eagle books.
