What authoring software is out there that can create good menus and blu ray file structure to play on a PS3 from a memory stick.
I tried multiAVCHD but it took 2 hours and didnt do anything, it just hung.. the 3 min video I imported into it was mpeg2 Blu ray and the file on its own plays fine on my PS3.
Any other free software - and which is generally the best paid for software

The file I am adding to multiAVCHD is .m2v. Does this program try to convert this file to .m2ts? If so can you stop this conversion as the PS3 plays it just fine.
Just looking the menus
Also - is there any other software that *needs* to be installed for multiAVCHD to work?
Many Thanks -
The question isn't whether or not the source file plays fine on the PS3 in isolation, but whether or not it is actually compliant when authored. If it isn't, it will have to be re-encoded. Yes, the video will have to be packed into an m2ts container, just as mpeg-2 video must go into a VOB container when authoring for DVD. That is the standard, and if you want menus and the AVCHD structure, you have to comply.
I don't know what the issue with Multi-AVCHD was in your case, as I have not seen this issue in the time I have used it. Multi-AVCHD installs pretty much everything it needs except avisynth and ffdshow/haali.Read my blog here.
