  1. I have some HD avi files on my hard drive that I would like to burn onto a DVD-R for playback in stand alone players. The file info is below:

    File : 294 MB (294 MB), duration: 0:05:00, type: AVI, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 86 %, ,
    Video : 290 MB, 8111 Kbps, 30.0 fps, 1920*1080 (16:9), XVID = XVID Mpeg-4, Supported
    Audio : 4.57 MB, 128 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 channels, 0x55 = MPEG Layer-3, CBR, , Supported

    So far I have tried:

DVD Flick straight to DVD disc - software said burn was sucessful, but would not play in stand alone
DVD Flick to DVD file - DVD file to DVD Shrink to DVD disc, software said burn was sucessful, but would not play in stand alone

I now have 2 more coasters

    Any suggestions?

Does your player supports the dvdr media you are burning on? You might have to try different media.
And does the burned dvd work on your computer with a software dvd player?

Yes, the stand alone has played many DVD-R's from the same stack.

Yes, the DVD-R's play on my PC but I have to navigate to the VOB file then double click to play with MPC.
