hi,trying to author a dvd for karaoke.i had a go at this a few years ago and failed.i have all my clips ready to be authored. last time i did this,i could not get it to display main menu after playing each track. what i want to do is have my 10 or 12 clips displaying in the main menu or track window with a background video playing.once a track is played,i want the dvd to display back to the main menu. can this be achieved please as last time i did it,it kept playing the clips one after each other regardless of the settings. thanks

  3. Try guifordvdauthor, add some clips and analyze the dvdauthor.xml file if you want do do it yourself.

  5. taking forever to encode it.
Then there is something wrong. GfD doesn't encode anything (except the menus). Check the log file...

hi borax,i didnt us gfd. i just used dvd author and used a main menu with 12 tracks/12 clips. this is the only way to get it to work. for some reason when beginning output,i get to 3% then the estimated time goes up to over 3 hours, increasing. i have to abort.

  7. ...the estimated time goes up...
AFAIK dvdauthor doesn't show anything like an 'estimated time'...
About which dvdauthor program do we talk here?
If it is this (command line) program: https://www.videohelp.com/tools/dvdauthor then again: Check the log file...
If you talk about another program, which one?
