I have looked just about everywhere but I cannot find a piece of software that will allow me to capture to FLV files directly from a video camera. I want to do the same thing here https://forum.videohelp.com/topic376616.html but instead of MPEG-1, I want FLV. Ideally, I would like to create an FLV file and an MPEG-1 file simultaneously but for now I am just trying to send DV from a camera over a firewire cable to a laptop that has an application that can produce flash files in realtime. Does anyone know of such an applicaton? Is this even possible? Thanks.

I opened up the CS3 version of Flash Media Encoder but did not see anything that would capture from firewire and then offer FLV as a capture format. FME appears to convert various formats to FLV. I'll take a closer look at it. Thanks.
