Since uploading video usually allows uploading the image. I ask this question here. I see some online HD news photos have dimensions 940 x 443 pixels. I used a 12MP camera to take a picture. After uploading to the host service website, it becomes 688 x 516 pixels. Do you know how to post or upload HD photos online without losing pixels?

Are you talking about uploading images here, or to another site ?

I don't believe there is a limit here, and if there is, it is certainly larger than the numbers you are talking about.

If it is another site, which one ? Chances are it has a set of rules, one of which will set out any size limits they may have.

Bottom line though - you have not give enough details to get a useful answer.

We have a 6Mb filesize limit here, but I usually resize my .jpegs to 720X480 or abouts to make it easier for some members to download. I think 800X600 will work here, maybe larger, I haven't checked lately. Some members still use dialup and large files take them quite a while to DL. An oversize file may also get resized by the forum software and that can result in reduced quality. Other sites have different rules. Best to find out what they will accept. An alternative is to link to a file site, Rapidshare or similar and use that for the larger files.

I am talking about the other host service website. I see it may be due to the host website limits the size of the uploading images. Do you know any host website that does not limit the size of the image so that the user can upload the HD image without losing the pixels? I have several HD photos to post online.

12 megapixels taken with a pocket camera can still look like complete garbage compared to a 4 megapixel professional camera (D-SLR)...because megapixels do not relate to quality.

The old Nikon D2Hs was only 4 megapixels....and you'd be hard pressed to find a better camera
for build quality or image quality with respectable glass attached.
Vinyl is dead and film is never going to gain the market share it once had....not even close.
