  1. Been using several programs to stream my blu ray from my pc to the PS3. Using java ps3 media server. I normally rip my movie using makemkv. I then take the mkv file and load with tsMuxer gui. My problem is with VC-1. I believe I have to trascode the video with Mencoder in order to stream. But when I get a movie that has VC-1 I get major lag. I even try to split the files into smaller size roughly around 3-6 gb, even with a small file I still get lag and the buffer on the status tab is always empty on Java PS3 media server. Is there any other software I could use that will support streaming on VC-1 movies. I get a unsupported video code error when I try loading the file into mkv2vob. My bottleneck is my cpu which is p4 2.8 with 2gb of ram. My ps3 and computer are both wired to my Dlink dir 655 gigabit ethernet. I know if I upgrade to a faster system it will help, but I dont think its worth it in my situation. Thanks

Maybe just reconvert it to h264. Use Ripbot264.

  3. Thanks Baldrick for the info. Quick quesiton so with that mkv(VC1) file that I ripped with makemkv I could just load it into ripbot264 and it should convert the file over to mp4? I then should be able then to stream to my ps3? Sorry for all the newbie questions.
