  1. Ripped Moulin Rouge using smartripper, then dvd2avi, then encoded using TMPG. Everything seemed fine at the beginning of the movie but then i noticed that the audio was falling progressivley behind the video. So, in the first few minutes audio and video are in sync in the middle audio is about 1/2 a second behind, then in the end it is almost 2 seconds behind! Can anybody give me any helpful suggestions on how to fix this problem?

  2. Your probably going to have to extract the audio portion from the file. I prefer Virtual Dub, because it is easy and hasn't failed me.

    1. Open your file in VirtualDub.
    2. Select Audio -> Full Processing Mode
    3. Select Audio -> Conversion
    4. Choose Sampling Rate (Whatever you like. i.e. For a VCD-Compliant Audio stream then choose Sampling Rate as 44100, Precision as 16 Bit, Channels as Stereo).
    5. Select File -> Save as WAV

    Or you can try to remux and mux in TMPG (MPEG TOOLS).

  3. 1) make sure you removed the multi-angles (if any) by using "movie mode" in smartripper

    2) make sure you turned on "forced film" in dvd2avi so that your output video from tmpgenc is 23.978 fps.

  4. I have the same problem whenever I use forced film in DVD2AVI. I just use inverse telecine in Tmpgenc instead of forced film. Let me know if you find a cure to your problem. :(
