Using MediaInfo, I am examining a downloaded avi clip encoded with XviD.
MediaInfo reports the target file as encoded with "AdvancedSimple@L5" but a widthxheight of 624x352.
Looking at the XviD 1.2.1 encoder configuration setup, it seems this profile defaults to 720x576 and does not allow simple editing of the configuration to resize while using this Profile.
How is this video size possible with the reported Profile above?
Thanks.

I believe that those are the maximum limitations imposed by the profile (the upper limits)
If your input file or resize filter is a lower resolution, then it would still conform to the profile specifications (assuming all the other settings are within the specification eg. no QPEL, no GMC etc...) -
I see. Using a VirtualDub resize filter still configures the conversion with the same Profile.
Thanks.
