Hi there, just recorded some footage off of Panasonic 151's. When I took the data off the SD card, it is all .mts, and doesnt work in Premiere Pro,
How can I fix this? Is there a plug in? I don't really want to convert as I don't want any of the quality changing.

    Thanks

    Jonny

  2. Do you have CS4 and all updates? They added support for AVCHD

  4. Nope, CS3 can't handle it natively

AVCHD is difficult to edit (CPU intensive), and if your computer specs are accurate, you won't be able to edit very quickly (it will be sluggish)

One option is to use a digital intermediate e.g. cineform neoscene, which is visually lossless, and makes editing more efficient. It requires a lot of extra HD space, however
