I am using the MERGE/CUT feature under the option MPEG TOOLS on TMPGEnc, version 2.0xxx.
Say that my source file is MPEG 1 at some bit rate such as 1.35 or something other than 1.15 VCD, and some other details such as B frames and P frames are not VCD. The sound is 44,100KHz 16bit Stereo. So basically I have an MPEG-1 file that has correct sound but is _not_ VCD complaint.
If I edit that file with TMPGEnc MERGE/CUT and select under Type "MPEG-1 Video CD" as an option in that program before I click RUN and process is the file, is the resulting file 100% VCD complaint?
There are six options for file type in TMPGEnc MPEG Tools under MERGE /CUT. I have tried a few of them and noticed differences in the resulting output file size when dealing with the same input file that I edit. (What I am doing is editing out commercials on a television program I captured using the less than ideal ATI AIW card which I know does not produce compliant VCD mpeg files even when VCD is selected).
Does TMPGEnc make the file 100% VCD complaint when using MPEG Tools?
(I believe that it does, however, I would like to have it verified by other users)
Thank you
