Hey people, a friend and I are looking to buy a camcorder to start filming a stop motion animation film. We're looking for a great analog or digital one. We need it to be fairly cheap, around the $400 area. I don't have a firewire card, or firewire software for DV cams, so I don't want one of those, but I do have a Matrox Marvel G400 with which to capture analog output, and I am more familiar with that method already, as I use Adobe Premiere 6 all of the time. Could you guys please post links to real nice analog camcorders which cost around $300-$400 USA Dollars? LCD screens are nice, but if they cause the price to bulge, then they can be left out. I can't wait until we start to film it! We're using Warhammer 40,000 figurines, and I am choosing the background music for it now. All we need to get going is a script, and a camera! Thanks, all!

  2. If you are going to get a camcorder go ahead and get one with a DV interface they are so much better.

A Firewire card can be purchased on Ebay for about 25 bucks.
I bought My Sony DCR-TRV130 DV camcorder on ebay for 400 and it was new in the box. it retails for 599.99

Go to http://www.ebay.com and bid on one and win it.....!!!!!
    Good luck
