  1. If you own one and have tried different formats like VCD SVCD miniDVD let me know if they work please. i dont want to waste my time and money to do something that doesnt work. Thanks

    Yes, I owned a 5220P. If the serial number begins with 922 or higher (or starts with a 0) then the unit can play VideoCDs (even if the manual says it can't).

    It will play manufactured VideoCDs as well as VCDs burned on CDRW media. (It won't recognize CDR media at all)

    The 5220P is an extremely capable VCD player, IMO.
