    Hello!

I've got a 4:3 avi video, converted to SVCD by TMPEG with proper settings (keep the 4:3 AR), burned to CD with NERO 5564 on A03, and the Pioneer 444 plays it letterboxed on a 4:3 TV.

(VCD has right AR on Pio444)

Has anybody any idea what i did wrong?

Change the settings in your pioneer under Video1->Tv Screen to 4:3(pan and scan) or 16:9 and it should look okey.

    Hi Baldrick!

    Thanks for your reply.
I've already found this "trick", but I think it's not normal. This is NOT a letterboxed or a 16:9 AR film.
Is it a problem of the Pio444 or the encoding/authoring process?
Should this SVCD be OK on other DVD players?

    THX, D.D.G.
