I have been downloading old ps1 games from the PS Store on to my PS3 such as FF7 and Crash Bandicoot. I am thinking about getting a PSP as it is possible to transfer them to that.

Here is where the problem is, the PSP has only 1 analog stick compared to 2 on the PS3 and only has 2 back buttons compared to 4 on PS3. I know that on FF7 you need to use the back 2, where on the PSP, they won't be available.

Has anyone got a PSP with a PS1 game on it and how do you get round this problem?

Through all the sites I have read, you use the directional pad and not the analog stick just like in the original PS1 game.

Everything in the game should be should be compatible with the PSP if it's from the PlayStation Store since you can download PS1 classics to the PS3 and PSP.

yeah, few PS1 games used analog control and of those available for download on PSN I don't think any need it.
I have downloaded R-Type Delta to my PSP via PSN and it works great, but that game doesn't require all the buttons that were available on the PS1 controller...

I went out and bought it. Transfered FF7. What I now know is, each PS1 game is different online, where you can change settings.

FF7 doesn't use analog sticks, so L2 is pushing analog left and R2 is pushing analog right.

I am gonna put Crash 3 on tonight and see how that works. Cheers for the replies guys
