Is there a way to feed a signal through from a VHS deck to my computer using the GL2. Right now I have to record the video to the GL2 & then dub the tape to the computer. I know with some camcorders you can feed the signal straight thru, but I haven't been able to figure out how to do it with this camcorder.

You'll have to check your camcorder's manual for the specifics (try the manufacturer's website if you don't have it).
The phrase you need to look for is "passthrough". If there is a mode called passthrough on the camcorder that should do it. Also try for something like "line in". Anything that lets you use the camcorder as input device and output at the same time.
EDit 2- also it may not be possible with every camcorder even its dv.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Yoda, thanks for the reply. I do have the manual & there's no mention of a passthrough. There is both composit & S inputs, but they are also outputs (same one) so it's not possible to feed a signal in and out at the same time. My guess is that it's probably not possible with this camcorder.
