I have a bunch of short videos which I wish to share with my friends portable devices, namely PSP and iPods.
I am able to encode seperately for each device, but I just can't seem to find common ground for both devices.
Is there like a guideline or something to know which switch is compatible with which device?
If x264 is not possible, does the the iPod and/or iPhone accept Xvid video in mp4 container?

For x264, I don't think so: ipod uses baseline profile without CABAC, PSP uses main profile with CABAC. You would think that using the lower profile would be compatible on the PSP, but this doesn't work - there were a couple of threads on this topic if you search and I don't know if anyone has found a solution
Not sure about xvid/mp4 or compatible settings -
Actually, I did search, but it didn't really answer what I really wanted to know. So figured I'd ask.
Although I'm not really surprised with your answer, thanks for your answer.
