Suite for Ipod, PSP, and .FLV

I currently have an Ipod classic. My wife has itouch, and my dtr has a PSP. I've been encoding DVD's for a while now using Nero Recode 2 out of the Nero 6 suite. I got Nero as a gift and to my surprise liked it very much. For Encoding the thing I like about Nero the most is when I encode DVD's of TV shows I can encode multiple episodes at once in a batch. Also the Naming scheme is maintained by Itunes. In the Future I'd like to be able to convert both to and from .FLV also. I have used Avex to encode also, but its a bit clumsy and naming is not preserved, however I found that the files I converted with Avex can be played on both the Ipod and PSP whereas the Nero conversions cannot be played on PSP. Here's My questions

1) Are the formats for Ipod and Itouch the same and\or compatible? - please explain.

2) What are the differences in the MP4's for Ipod and PSP?

3) What format (profiles\options? - I'm a still a bit noob) will be useful to all three devices?

4) What good program will do all of these things and maintain the features I like about Nero 6?

Please be patient with my questions I've been searching and reading, but can't find anywhere to address the depth of my questions and bring all my wants together. I find in looking at software that the "user friendly" doesn't see me as that user. They try to idiot proof everything that they conceal the details.

I don't have either a ipod or psp so I can't get into specifics on those.

But I do have some program suggestions for conversions:

SUPER

XVID4PSP

COREL DVD COPY 6

The first two are freeware. Corel Dvd Copy 6 is payware but has output settings for both ipods and psp - as well as divx and zune fyi

These are worth checking into.
