Wireless headphones for car dvd player....now I want to use them inside.

I have 2 audiovox wireless headphones that came with the dvd system we installed in our van. We dont use these headphones in the van hardly at all anymore.

I want to find a transmitter that I can buy that would allow me to use these headphones with my tv inside my house. I got in touch with Audiovox and they say they do not make a product like that.

Has anyone ever heard of a "generic" transmitter that I could buy, hook up to my tv, and it would transmit to these headphones?

Wireless covers a lot of ground, from infra-red to RF to FM to bluetooth.

You probably need to be a lot more specific about the headphones and how they currently work.

good point....to tell you the truth, im not sure. We bought this setup almost 6 years ago. It is a simple system....dvd player is underneath the seat. We tune our radio to a certain channel to hear the sound through the car speakers.

The headphones simply have to be turned on and then they work. I know its not bluetooth.

They probably just have an FM receiver built into them, as that is the signal that the DVD player is broadcasting to the car radio.

Ok....so does that mean it is not possbile to connect them with my TV in my house?
