I saw there was a guide to go from Blu ray to MKV, and then to use handbrake to shrink to AVI. I was planning on buying The Office Season 5, and I was wondering if anyone knew if it was hard to do the shrinking and everything because I'd only be able to play the Blu ray on my PS3, and in order to play it on my gf's laptop, I'd have to get a Blu ray reader for my computer and do the work. I don't know if there are extra exclusive footage on the blu ray as well that could make it more worthwhile. But seeing how I really only buy TV shows, and just rent movies, I didn't know what people's thoughts on this topic were. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Since The Office Season 5 just got released TODAY, you are really jumping the gun with this post. My best guess is that the BluRay and DVD have the same content, but you'll have to wait for a review to come out to be sure.

You have to use a commercial ripper like AnyDVD HD to rip BluRay discs. That costs money. It's possible that this release of The Office will have a slightly different means of copy protection than has been seen before and you'll have to wait for AnyDVD HD to be updated to deal with it.
