“The name Sci Fi has been associated with geeks and dysfunctional, antisocial boys in their basements with video games and stuff like that, as opposed to the general public and the female audience in particular,” said TV historian Tim Brooks, who helped launch Sci Fi Channel when he worked at USA Network.

  2. I look at it this way, Once BattleStar and Atlantis end their season/shows, what is worth watching on the channel?
    Ghost Hunters
    Estate of Panic
    Chase
    Wrestling

Only show that is sci-fi is sanctuary and I doubt it will be around too.
The problem is, you NEVER know when a new episode of Atlantis or Sanctuary is going to air. This leads to not caring about them anymore.

    Edit
Just realized the canceled SGA and are suppose to come out with Stargate Universe.....

SciFi has watered itself down with non-niche crap, sort of like Cartoon Network and A&E have strayed so far from their roots.

I look for Outer Limits and Tru Callling marathons from time to time. Thats about it, I never watch the Scifi produced movies. They are so bad, I don't see how they get made.

The first time I saw wrestling on the Scifi channel, I thought they mixed up the programming schedule from another network. Kinda left me scratching my head on that one.

The Sci-Fi channel sure went downhill the past few years. And after this Friday's BSG I won't have any reason to it anymore.

Yep. I used to love the scifi network. It's now been probably 2 years since I've watched anything on it.

I tried watching Warehouse 13. I couldn't get past an hour of the two hour opening. - it was a rip on all scifi but I just couldn't get into it - it wasn't original enough like a men in black or slapsticky like a galaxy quest.

A shame too because I like the actor who played the warehouse keeper - he's the guy who played Donny on Fraser who was going to marry Daphne - and the keeper who imprisoned Data in TNG..... (the most toys episode - Fajo???)
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?
