    Hey all,

first of all, this is a great source for all video editing, I already found a great deal of information. I have started copying a bunch of HI8 tapes onto my computer for digitalizing the library.

The conversion is as follows: Sony handycam video+mono(!)audio jack ->dazzle usb capture device -> cyberlink power director, which I use to save into Mpeg 2 @8,000 kbs, stereo DD audio.

The problem is, since the handycam has a mono output, obviously only the left (or right) speaker works. I already searched the radio market for a splitter (RCA splitter I think they are called) but to no avail. Let's just say, my country is not that great for electronics stuff.

So, I need to fix this problem with software. I looked around in powerdirector, but there is no way for me to,say, put the audio track on the left channel, and then mirror it onto the right channel on another track (or something similar).

Is there a software that would let me do just that?

Alright,I found an older version of vegas lying around. Sure enough, it has the "combine channels" in its audio options. Solved.
