Lately I have been converting a lot of videos into iPod and iPhone formats, though in the past I have used programs to convert for DVDs and such. Although 45 minutes isnt Too long for a 2 Hour DVD to convert, Ive been finding myself spending a lot of time just waiting for it to finish. I ended up doing a search on google for a way to take the load off the CPU and onto my GPUs as I figured they were far more advanced for the task, having a lot more GPU power in my system I wanted to take advantage of it.
I am running Dual ATI HD 3870s and I did find something called AVIVO. Though I was unable to find a converter myself for it anywhere I have heard of it being able to do 2 hour DVDs in 5 minutes. Ive searched google and around a few forums and cant find ANYTHING to help me. It seems to just be used for video Decoding.
Does Anyone have any information on ATI AVIVO or any other software I can use to convert video quicker by using the GPUs or both together?
For the most part I am converting Dual Audio MKV and OMG with Subs using XviD4PSP as it allows me to select tracks, but if anyone has any better opions, please let me know.

Try Cyberlink MediaShow Espresso and Badaboom. I'm not sure if they support the ati though. And the quality is usually not that good when using the CUDA technology.

From what I read, Badaboom uses NVidia hardware Only. Maybe I will try a trial and see how well it fairs.
I did get a blurb somewhere about "Cyberlink" but was unsure which software I needed. Thank you.
As I try this.. more input would always be helpful as this may not be an answer for me. -
I tried cyberLinks program and it did not seem to have any effect, it was still 100% CPU and no load on the GPUs.

You might need a different version of Expresso. Or maybe just enable the GPU option.
AVIVO updated, still crap. Cyberlink Espresso not much better (with ATI):

ExtremeTech liked Cyberlink (with ATI) better:
