  1. Hi,

I have a DVD I want to make of home videos, but I use DVDFlick and dont seem to be able to do what I need it to do.Bassically I have multiple videos in folders on my desktop. Each folder has several videos in it. I want this on the DVD the same way, meaning I want 4 different video folders in the menu, then you click on one and get into the different clips of that folder.

How can I do this with maybe another software?

    Thanks

If looking for freeware, try dvdauthor with dvdauthorgui, you want to make multiple titles (VTS), and then use menu buttons to link to them from the menu.

The DVD specification allows for two folders during authoring - Audio_TS (optional) and Video_TS (mandatory). The Video_TS folder is where all your videos go. There is nothing you can do to change this.

If you want to have videos in different folders then you need to burn a data disc, not a DVD Video disc. This will be playable in a PC (with the right codecs) and some DVD players (assuming that the player supports Divx/Xvid and you have your videos encoded as Divx/Xvid).

If you want a standard DVD Video disc that plays in any standard DVD player then you have to author by the rules, which means one folder (Video_TS). You can author your titles into different titlesets so that you can see by the VOB names which is which, but that doesn't really do much for you. This is what the menu is for.

Of you can create a low quality DVD Video version, and add subfolders to the disc with your original videos in them for accessing on a PC.

  4. no, that's not what i mean, I mean ... hmmm.... hard to explain...

When you start the DVD, i want 5 options.
the 1st options is a small movie
the 2nd option, should bring you another menu with 4 different small movie
3rd option should bring you to another menu with 3 different small movies
    Etc...

    Do you understand?

I'm playing around with DVD Lab Pro, but this is REALY a pro software and hard to understand... Looking for something easier to work with...

The other thing I'm looking for is when you frist put in the DVD, I want a small video to play right off the bat, something like an intro video, then when that is ended, go to the main menu, and from there have multiple selections as stated above.

  5. You can use DVD Architect or Adobe Encore, both are a bit easier to use than DVD Lab Pro, they are almost drop and drag

DVD Styler is free and does menus as well. The menu structure you are askig for is very basic, and even DLP shouldn't present that much of an issue when creating something like this.
