I have a used Digital video converter box (by Clearline Concepts) in the USA (ntsc). I was hoping it might help with copy protection (it has a TBC) but it didn't, so I'd like to sell it. However, I can't tell if it works for it's intended function of converting Pal<>Ntsc video between Pal-Ntsc equipment. Obviously it won't help my ntsc dvd player output a Pal dvd correctly, since the player output is already ntsc; the box doesn't improve the jumpy video.
If I run an Ntsc video thru it, and set it for Pal output, the video is offset on the TV, so it does change the signal, but I can't tell if these would be useable results. Any ideas?
