With my acer laptop came NTI Media maker. I can use DVD fit and Media Maker to burn dvds but i can't make menus. I found online that i'm supposed to use Home Video Maker for that, but i don't have it. Is that right, am i supposed to install it myself?

Did you get a disc for it ? If so, install it.
If not, try DVD Styler to create menus and author your disc.Read my blog here.
