    Hi All,

    Is there any free software that will allow me to create my own music/beats? My children have a small project to work on, and I don't want to invest in software like Cakewalk, until I find out they are serious about creating music.

    Check out FlexiMusic Kids Composer, your kid can easily create music by just painting the tunes in the tracks. I think its price is also very reasonable, i got it for $15.

    You may want to look at Linux MultiMedia Studio (LMMS) - http://lmms.sourceforge.net/ - (yes it works in Windows too!)
