I find it HIGHLY unlikely that this player is asking for a region unlock code. You are probably confusing that with a parental permissions code request.

No hacks appear to be available for this player. Many if not most DVD players sold today in the USA cannot be unlocked. And even when it was fairly easy to unlock DVD players a few years ago, home theater systems were rarely able to be unlocked.

Please note that some DVD players sold in the USA will only operate on US power, which is quite different from EU power. Also, some DVD players can only output NTSC TV signals, so you'll need a European TV that can accept NTSC input. Those are not impossible to find, but do be aware of it.

    jman98,

there is no problem with the supply power as it works with 220v and all the TV's in Europe since at least 5 years can do PAL and NTSC so thats no problem. And its 100% that its asking for a region code unlock since the first dvd that was ever put in was a EU code one . It says that the region is not good please enter code. Could that be done by ONKYO in EU maybe by changing the firmware and/or software?

    Thanks

You can contact them to see if there is anything that they can or will do for your. While it may be asking for a "code", it is most likely a programing error and it should be displaying an "invalid region" error message.
