I asked a similar question a bit ago.I asked for free and found these programs a bit arduous. Now I'm just looking for "Mp4 to DVD for Dummies". Dont want to have to encode before dragging to the time line.Cost not an issue.contacted Roxio today. No dice.

    Thoughts?

Yes, it will convert your 720p footage to a compliant DVD structure. It doesn't edit at all though.

If you want simple cut edits on the fly when encoding to DVD, try AVStoDVD, and add trim() statments into the AVS code (created by the program) before letting it create the DVD.

You don't. You can't add titles when you burn, you add them when you encode and author. You should have added all the titles to AVStoDVD and let it process them all into a single DVD.

As for Imgburn being intuitive - each to there own. However if you go the Help menu there is a link to there tutorials which will make it all very easy.

Your other choice is to either try a different package - DVD Flick, perhaps - or use DVD Shrink in Re-auhtor mode to bring all the encoded titles together. You won't have any menus this way though.

Must admit I have never tried to encode that many titles in a single session before, as I usually would author somthing like that in DVD Lab pro. I only use AVStoDVD to convert single movies to DVD on the odd occasion.

Not completely true: AVStoDVD will not create a DVD Menu with more that 17 titles, but you can create a DVD structure without Menu (press Retry on the warning prompt).

    Just to be clear

  12. Nero Vision (part of Nero at least from version 7) supports .MP4 for DVD authoring. However, it's not freeware. Also, experienced people often seem to refer to all the vicious cons, although it's a real easy-to-use interface.
    Drop dead gorgeous!
