I TRY TO AUTHOR A DVD WITH MPEG FILE CONTAINING AC3 5.1CH SOUND. IT SEEMS THAT MOST OF THE SOFTWARES LIKE ULEAD DVD FACTORY OR SONIC MYDVD DONT ACCEPT THIS TYPE OF AUDIO. WHAT IS THE TRICK TO AUTHOR A DVD WITH THIS TYPE OF MPEG FILE ? WHAT SOFTWARE DO I NEED ?

What authoring programs will let me put ac3 in? SpruceUp doesn't support 16:9 ratio so I don't want to do that. One other thing, do I need to keep the 2 and 6 channel streams for the DVD to sound right on a stereo with only 2 or 4 speaker surround? I have 5.1 but none of my friends do and I want my disks to work in their players to. Thanks.

DVD Maestro
DVD Virtuso
Scenarist NT
DVD Wise
note: SpruceUp will support 16:9 thr oguh the use of a hack, but I still wouldnt recommend using it -
Thanks kdiddy. What about the second question (do I need both 2 and 6 channel audio)?

thats entirely up to you on which audio stream you want to have..I personally like the 5.1 better....Some of those listed apps can only incorparate 1 audio stream, some can do 2 streams.
