  1. I did a multi movie conversion using Nero 7 Startsmart converting and combining six mp4 movies to the DVD format. Except for about one minute of stopping and going during the 4 hours worth of movies, everything came out OK except for the subtle diagnal red lines spaced about 1/4 inch apart throughout all the movies. In the mp4 format on the computer, there are no diagnal lines and there was no one minute of stopping and going on that part of the film that was bad in the DVD format.

I was wondering if anyone here has ever experienced those subtle red diagnal lines and know what I can do to fix that. I can still watch the movie OK but the diagnal lines make it far from perfect.

Could the digital converter box I just connected have something to do with it or is it something else.

  2. Can you play the DVD-Video on the PC in a software player? Does it have the lines? This would help to rule out if the connection is the issue, or the authoring/encoding process is the issue

You could try other software e.g. FAVC, DVD Flick

  3. Thanks,

That makes sense. I'll try it.

  4. Also try playing the Video_TS folder vs. the actual physical DVD, this might help rule out if it's a DVD disc (e.g. bad media) problem
