  1. The power dvd programm always worked for me, but now there is a problem. I just got a new computer and now i have this thing:

I inserted an official dvd disc, and it plays it, but i have separate self made VOBs that always played before, but now they do not anymore, they only blinked with a picture at first, but now it just doesn't show video at all, only the audio is herd. I guess i need a certain codec to be installed, I don't know which one, I installed klite codec pack codecs but it still doesn't work.

You shouldn't need a codec pack to play vobs in powerdvd. But then again you shouldn't just play vob file separate as they should be a part of a dvd-video(ifo,bup files)...but it works fine most of the time.

Try play the vobs with vlc media player or mpc, does it work fine?
    Try reinstall PowerDVD.

  3. i didn't try vlc, but i was told powerdvd is the best for playing vobs, the thing is that the files always worked before, and now they don't anymore, I just tryed reinstalling powerdvd, and the video, started playing for very few seconds at first, and than it dissappeared, leaving me with only audio again.
