    first sorry for my bad english , i speack frensh

    I have a car dvd called ( HARDSTONE DPM-62) with dvd player / gps bluetooth ... and more , i am searching a hack for change the splash screen . but I can't access to a hidden setup for recognize the version of dvd or how i can update it , please if any one have an idea or response help me ...

    Car DVD players almost never have hacks, but maybe you will be lucky and someone will know one. It's not very likely though.

    The typical hack is simply for removing the region check. In your case, you are wanting to modify the firmware. There isn't much information around for this type of project. I can only suggest countless hours on Google digging up the information and tools that you need.

    For what it's worth I knew what you meant. You can't use the simple "hack" to make the changes you want. The only "update", would be from the manufacturer. Any changes the manufacturer makes are typically to only correct operational problems, not cosmetic changes.

    So your only option would be to try it yourself. You will need a copy of the firmware, tools for editing and then compiling it, and of course some source of knowledge on what exactly needs to be changed.

    As hardly anyone modifies firmware on their own, I don't know where you will get the tools or knowledge needed. My only suggestion, as noted above, is to spend a lot of time on Google searching for information.
