    Narfboy--

A great place to start learning how to make SVCD's from DivX lies right on this site in the "how to" guides. Consult them first and if you have any additional questions, feel free to post them.
Also, a standard SVCD only holds 35-70 minutes of video, depending on your bitrate. Anything outside of the spec. is XSVCD, which is not a real format and hence may not even work on your DVD player. If this is your first time converting, I would stick to making compliant VCD's or SVCDs. Furthermore, trying to cram an entire movie onto 1 SVCD is going to look like shit! This of course depends on the lenghth of your movie. You would be better off using VCD (lower resoltuion and bitrate) if you want to fit a large movie on a single CD. DivX's don't make good sources for encoding, so read the guides and try doing a sample encode in SVCD and VCD formats. As far as what format to use, do the sample encodes, take into account the length (and quality) of the movie, and go from there.

  3. Ok thx for the info! I know for sure that my dvd player is compatible to SVCD, VCD and XVCD (tested it). So can you tell what settings i have to use in Tmpgenc to put a movie on one cd as a vcd (quality does not matter, just want to know how to) *sorry 4 my english*

How long is your video? I cannot recommend a template unless I know the length of your movie. If it is <95 minutes, try using Sefy's SeVCD template. Go to the "tools" section of the site and try downloading some templates--each one is optimized for a different purpose (putting long movies on 1 CD, etc.).
