I recently upgraded to from Windows ME to XP. Before the upgrade I used to capture my video with Adobe Primere, and convert it with either AVItoVCD <(My favorite), or TMPGEnc with no problem. I never used Primere to convert the video, because it sucks! I would then burn it to a VCD. Now after the Windows XP upgrade, problems!. After I capturing it with Premire I go to my usual convert with AVItoVCD. This time I get this message: "Could not open source video file! You may not have a codec, or Directshow filter installed for this type of video!" Never got that message before, and I have Directshow filter! Shit it's the latest. So I tryed to play the video with Windows media player 8, and it gives me this message: "NO Error discription could be found for this error (ErrorCode=0x800A017f)". Clicked on the link to Microsofts Website, and no further info avalible. TMPGEnc message says "Media is unsupported" Now mind you that nothing plays any of the AVI.s that I download from my camcorder when I had Windows ME. It won't play the new stuff, or any of the old stuff that it played before. It plays AVI's from the net. Shit Windows XP was a free upgrade, and I like it, but Damn! I'm lost. I don't want to go back to ME just for this. Every thing else is fine. I have the latest Divix codecs. Can any of you help???
