  1. Was wondering if you can use Virtualdub to censor/edit out a face or a object in a vid. A stationary object I figure just stick a black square logo over it, but if it is a person how can you do it if the person is moving in the video.

Not with VD without doing a lot of work, mostly frame by frame on a moving object. There are higher end video editors that have 'Tracking' features that would allow what you want. Not sure which ones, offhand, but others here are likely familiar with the process.

One tutorial from Wrigley Video for Adobe Premiere: http://www.wrigleyvideo.com/videotutorial/tutdes_blurface.htm

IFAIK, VirtualDub does not do motion matting. You might try sticking your black square over the object, frame-by-frame, but that may be too laborious. Your best bet is to spring for a decent video editing program like Vegas or Premiere -- or better yet an effects package like After Effects.

EDIT: Redwudz posted just before I finished typing this. So this post is redundant.

You could also use Cinegobs Keyer (free) by putting a travelling roto matte over the face and droping anything you like in behind the image to take its place
