Hi there, have a camera with a BNC (female) output that I want to connect to the computer for recording. Can anyone point me in the right direction in terms of the hardware/software I need?
Thank you!

BNC outputs are usual just composite video so just about any analog capture card will work (even the humblest cheapo USB kind) - you just need an adapter. I suspect the connection you have is a male (with the two bayonet fittings like a UK light bulb). Anyway, a BNC-to-phono cable is needed. A card will usually come with some kind of software. Also, check your graphics card - it may have analog input abilities. John Miller

Depending on your video card, you may need a BNC>RCA adapter like this:

Your video capture card should come with some capture software, or there is some here: https://www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/capture

 And welcome to our forums.
