    I get a error code 65535 when installing a cd-r (backup version) of Turbo Tax 08. Original is mislocated. Anyone else know what this might be due to? It seems like it is a generic Windows installation error.

    Others are reporting this error. I didn't find any fix for it. I just installed Turbo Tax on Sunday and I didn't have this error, although in the past the installation didn't always happen without errors (this time it did though). I've always been able to get it to work any way. Others are reporting Turbo Tax's phone help as being worthless and although it was not mentioned specifically, it had all the hallmarks to me of being outsourced to another country. Try sending email to them about the problem and maybe you'll have some luck with support.
