    Hello everyone,
I’m sure that was asked before but I’m throwing the towel after 3-4 days of looking. I’ve got some foreign DVD’s as well as some music DVD’s that I want to stream to PS3 trough my ReadyNAS Duo network storage. I can convert the video files ok, but I’m having hard time imbedding subtitles for my foreign stuff and multi channel DD AC3 into my music video files. Nothing seems to be working.
    Any help?
    Thanks.

The PS3 can do subs from DVDs and BluRay, but it cannot do external subs, or subs from DVD files if streamed, unless the media server can transcode the files to produce hard subs on the fly.

It can happily accept AC3 files streamed from media servers, including 640 kbps Tru-HD AC3.

I do my streaming with PS3 Media Server, which does trancode on the fly so subs aren't an issue. However it would be far simpler if the PS3 could at least read srt subs and streamed DVD files with subs.
