No region hack has been reported for this model, and not all DVD players are hackable. Are your region 2 discs from Japan or Europe? If they come from Europe, they will not only be Region 2, but also PAL system, which won't be viewable on your player even if you find a region hack. Japanese DVDs, however, are NTSC discs (compatible with US system). In that case, your option would be to make region-free backups. If your computer has a DVD burner, you could rip your Region 2 discs to the hard drive using DVDFab HD Decrypter, then burn to a blank disc using ImgBurn. (If you need to shrink a long movie to fit on a 4.7GB blank DVD, you'd also need to shrink it down using DVDShrink before burning.) The backup copy will be region-free.

If the originals are European PAL system, you may have to resort to purchasing a multi-system DVD player.

According to my information, the Sylvania 6727DG is a TV/DVD combo. The likelihood of finding a region hack for it is slim.
